Apple Won’t Charge for iPad iOS 4
So now all iPad owners should be able to sleep happy in the knowledge that Apple won’t be holding their hand out when it comes time to download iOS 4.It seems that the software license agreement for the iPad contains a clause that indicates Apple have already confirmed they will offer the ‘next major iPad OS software’ for free. Just in case you’re wondering whether that means iOS 4, the clause continues by clarifying:
…if your iPad originally shipped with iPad 3.x software, Apple would provide you with any iPad OS software updates it might release up to and including the iPad 4.x release.’So good news all around!!!
